NordicTrack GX 4.6 Pro The Uphill Only Exercise Bike
Unless your on level 1 you can't ride too hard. After sitting on hold forever I find out from customer care rep I better be willing to fix myself. The bike rides like your in 9th gear on a 10 speed.
Took apart checked all pulleys for free movement all were free drive belt not to tight.
Then I realized the sizes of the pulleys huge 12" dia at pedals and tiny 2" at flywheel anyone familiar with derailer gears on a normal bike would realize that would pedal hard always. So unless your a gorilla or a animal that only rides on steep hills don't buy this bike.
Reason of review: Bike Rides TOOO Hard Poor Design On Pulleys.
Monetary Loss: $800.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
NordicTrack Cons: Lack of knowledge cust care rep.
Location: Milford, Pennsylvania

Same issue here. Had a Healthrider (also made by Icon) before and loved it.
So when the resistance motor broke on the Healthrider, and they do on all these bikes, I thought I would upgrade to a finer brand name like Nordictrack. Finer maybe but not in the engineering department.
I too feel there is something amiss with the resistance design of this bike. Just too hard to pedal for any extended period of time!!
Wish I had read these reviews earlier. Same problem - thought it was just me being short, female and not in terrific shape.
The seat is also huge, not well padded, and not rounded.
We have a call in to customer service - the *** will not thread into the seat post, so the seat cannot be adjusted. Right now it is a very expensive doorstop.
